Dear Tooth Defenders,
The Drinks Destroy Teeth program is proudly creating an interactive App for tablets and phones for use in elementary classrooms and dental offices to teach about the effects of acid and sugar on teeth. This is the first educational App created by a state dental association for the public health of children. The Drinks Destroy Teeth App compliments the science lessons about acid and sugar for fourth and fifth graders which are promoted to public elementary schools throughout the state.
This is the fifth year for Drinks Destroy Teeth, hailed by the American Dental Association as “… the most innovative public health initiative in the nation.” The App features a 3D mouth depicting conditions such as erosion, white spot lesions, decay and plaque. There are two videos and interactive lessons on pH and sugar with a quiz. We want you to be part of the Drinks Destroy Teeth App, but as you know, all of this takes money. So we’re asking for your contribution.
